8th February 2017

From February 6-10, 2017, libraries, archives, and other cultural institutions around the world are sharing free colouring sheets and books based on materials in their collections. Users are invited to download and print the coloring sheets and share their filled-in images, using the hashtag #ColourOurCollections (and #ColourOurCollections for our transatlantic friends).

All content is sourced from the collections of participating institutions. With participants from around the globe, this campaign offers an opportunity to explore the vast and varied offerings of the library world, without geographical constraints. Last year’s campaign included over 210 institutions and featured coloring sheets based on children’s classics, natural histories, botanicals, anatomical atlases, university yearbooks, patents, and more.

Cathedral Archivist Ellie Jones got into the spirit of #ColourOurCollections with this lovely bird from "Ole Worm's Museum Wormianum" (1655).
