Holy Ground: May 2016

Canon Anna Norman-Walker talks about the next gathering of our Holy Ground community on Sunday 8th May 2016 at 19.00

We are looking forward to welcoming you on Sunday evening to the Cathedral for our usual gathering of creative worship, reflection and conversation.

We have enjoyed a season of hearing from experts in a number of areas and have wrestled out some deep and ethical issues and so this month we hope to change direction a little and think about what it means to be ‘Ordinary Radicals’

In order to do that we are delighted to have an ‘Ordinary Radical’ as our guest speaker:

Jon Curtis

Jon is a fine  example of a local  young radical Christian. He is an activist, theologian, Methodist local preacher AND the lead singer in punk rock band The Cut Ups!

Jon was instrumental in setting up the Exeter Hub of the Devon & Cornwall Food Association – a local charity which diverts potential waste food to hungry people in our communities.

He has recently finished his PhD on Abstinence and Methodism and speaks to the topic living an alcohol free lifestyle which is an unusual characteristic of someone who is the lead singer in a Punk Band.

Jon is a great communicator and works for the Methodist church as a Pioneer Development Worker and local circuit preacher.

Come along and be inspired to live as an ordinary radical of the Kingdom!

We look forward to welcomeing you at Holy Ground.
