Holy Ground: October 2015
From Canon Anna Norman-Walker, Canon Chancellor
7th October 2015
We are gathering on Sunday evening (11th October 2015) for our usual recipe of creative worship followed by our café conversation or contemplative prayer space.
This month in our café we welcome Jayne Ozanne, director of Accepting Evangelicals which describes themselves as ‘an open network of Evangelical Christians…who believe the time has come to move towards the acceptance of faithful, loving same-sex partnerships at every level of church life, and the development of a positive Christian ethic for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people’.
We will be chatting to Jayne on the sofa and exploring some of the key questions that Evangelicals are exploring in this area and in particular thinking about how we can model ‘good disagreement’ within the Church. Jayne has an a long history of working with a wide variety of people groups and has a distinguished career and is a great communicator you can read all about her on her personal website.
We shall be offering our worship around the theme of reconciliation and as usual there will be an opportunity to spend time in contemplative prayer if the café is not for you this month.
We look forward to welcoming you on Sunday ,
With our love and prayers,
