Royal service for hospice
19th July 2016
Today the Duchess of Cornwall attended a special service at Exeter Cathedral to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Children’s Hospice South West. The Duchess is Patron of the charity, and she lit a candle in the Cathedral in memory of those children who have died in the years since the hospice opened.
The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall also spent time around the Cathedral visiting the Taste of the West food festival on Cathedral Green. Prince Charles was also shown the now-completed renovation work to the Cathedral’s iconic West Front, which was carried out thanks to a donation through The Prince of Wales’ Charitable Foundation.
