Sixth Form Debate 2016

Saturday 12th November 2016

Students from schools and colleges around Devon will gather in Exeter Cathedral on Tuesday (15th November) for the Cathedral's annual Sixth Form Debate.

Over 200 students will gather in the Cathedral to discuss a wide range of contemporary issues ranging from politics and the media to gender and international relations.

This year's panel is chaired by the Revd Kate Bottley, a Church of England priest and Further Education college chaplain. She will be known to many from Channel 4's hit show "Gogglebox". She will be joined by Diana Moore from the Exeter Green Party, Superintendent Sam de Reya (Devon and Cornwall Police) and the Very Revd Dr Jonathan Draper, Dean of Exeter Cathedral. ITV Westcountry News Editor Mark Thomas and Dr Adrian Thatcher (author of several books on Christianity, sexuality and gender, and Honourary Professor at the University of Exete) complete the lineup.
