UPDATE: Tuesday 1st November
Tuesday 1st November 2016
Access to the Cathedral and its precincts is still restricted following last week's fire in Cathedral Yard. Please note the following arrangements which will in place until further notice:
The Cathedral is closed, with no public access available.
The Chapter House is being used for our regular services but is closed to the public outside of these times.
The Cathedral Shop and Cathedral Café are also closed.
The Wednesday Night Café for the homeless and vulnerably housed of the city will take place at Crosslines, with food provided by our friends at Exeter Mosque.
There will be a Solemn Requiem Eucharist for All Souls' Day on Wednesday 2nd November. We are unable to confirm at this time whether it will be possible to use the setting by Maurice Duruflé (which requires the Cathedral organ) and will make an announcement tomorrow morning.
Dean Jonathan, members of the Chapter and everyone at Exeter Cathedral continue to hold all those affected in our thoughts and prayers. We look forward to being able to open the Cathedral as soon as it is safe to do so.
