Holy Ground: November 2017

Sunday 12th November at 19.00

Holy Ground is a creative and contemplative act of worship, at the heart of which is a celebration of the Holy Communion or Lord’s Supper. The act of worship is followed by refreshements and a café-style gathering in the Nave.

This month’s speaker is the Revd Dr Donna Lazenby. Donna is the Director of St Mellitus College South West in Plymouth, which opens its doors for training ordinands this September. She is also Tutor and Lecturer in Spirituality and Apologetics. Donna’s PhD research, which won The John Templeton Award for Theological Promise 2011, explored points of contact between the Christian mystical tradition and atheistic literature, and she remains fascinated by the relationship between the Church and contemporary culture. Her second book, Divine Sparks: Everyday Encounters with God’s Incoming Kingdom, is published this year with SPCK.
