Getting to Exeter by car
Exeter is easily accessible via the M5, A30 and A38. Please use Park & Ride locations on the approaches to the city.

Please note: The Cathedral and Quay Car Park (just off Western Way, Exeter's inner bypass) is at the bottom of a hill and not recommended for visitors in wheelchairs or those who may find the walk difficult.
A city well-served by public transport
Exeter has two main-line rail stations, Exeter Central and Exeter St. David's. Exeter Central Station is a few minutes walk from the Cathedral, whilst Exeter St David's Station is further away. Bus services (H) travel between the city centre and Exeter St David's Station.
Most local bus services stop at Exeter Bus and Coach station, which is a few minutes walk from the Cathedral.
Please note: A redevelopment of Exeter Bus and Coach station is planned for 2018. For information please visit Exeter City Council's website.
Information for coach drivers
Drop off/pick up points are available in South Street opposite the cut/walk through to the Cathedral next to Connells Estate Agents available at any time. Parking for coaches is available at Exeter Bus & Coach Station, Lower Concourse, Paris Street, EX1 2JP. There is also a purpose built drop-off point that is available 08.30 - 17.30. Drivers should use the Cheeke Street entrance to lower concourse. For more information please telephone 01392 439439.
