Exeter Cathedral is committed to safeguarding children, young people, and vulnerable adults. The Ven. Nick Shutt holds responsibility for ensuring the Cathedral’s safeguarding policy is regularly reviewed and kept up to date with national guidance.
At Exeter Cathedral, we are writing a new chapter: an ambitious project, designed to make sure that we are welcoming to all and here for generations to come. While we are doing this, you may find restricted access in some areas of the Cathedral and a slightly reduced education programme. We will do our best to accommodate your visit and we will keep you informed should any changes need to be made to your visit. Thank you for your patience while our exciting project is taking place.
To book a Cathedral only Tour or Workshop you must give at least 48 hours’ notice to secure the booking. Any booking giving less than 48 hours’ notice will be offered a self-led tour only. For all Joint Tours, including ones with our external partners please give at least 5 working days’ notice.
Roof Tours are for ages 8+ (Year 3/4 upwards) and a maximum of 12 pupils can be taken at a time. These tours usually last at least two hours so if taking two groups please allow for at least four hours.

Activity sheets include:
