Family-Fun Half Term Activities
Monday 17 – Thursday 20 February, during Cathedral opening hours
Join us at Exeter Cathedral throughout half term for a variety of fun family-friendly moon themed activities, to coincide with Luke Jerram’s Museum of the Moon exhibition.
Make your own Moon Landing
Tuesday 18 February, 10am-11:30am
Make your own Moon scape with craters and sparkly rocks, then add your astronaut or rocket landing on your creation!
Moon and Stars Tour
Wednesday 19 February 10:30am-11am
Want to find out more about the Moon, the Stars and the Planets, with a couple of activities? Join our Moon and Stars Tour this half term! Learn all about moon facts, looking for constellations, and astronauts. This tour is suitable for Children aged 4+ (and adults!).
Children must be accompanied by a paying adult.
Make a Moon Rocket
Monday 17, Wednesday 19, Thursday 20 February, 10am-12pm
Come to Exeter Cathedral to get creative and crafty! We will be making Straw Rockets that you can launch in the Nave. Will your rocket reach the moon? It’s all in the making and fine-tuning to create speed, accurate projection and smooth sailing, but mostly just for fun! This activity is suitable for all ages but younger children may need a little adult help.
All activities are by Donation – Children must be accompanied by a paying adult.
