Our choirs have been at the heart of Cathedral life for hundreds of years. Exeter Cathedral Choir and St Peter’s Singers play a critical role in daily worship, special occasions and concert performances. We are passionate about sharing our love of music with the wider community, and we frequently invite others to share their passion by singing in Exeter Cathedral.
Exeter Cathedral Choir leads daily acts of worship. The Choir seeks to serve and inspire by providing music for the cathedral’s liturgy, educational outreach and concert programmes.
The Choir aspires to continue to build on its professional standard of music-making, growing its reputation regionally, nationally and internationally. This is achieved through daily worship, choir concerts, tours, recordings and broadcasts. Contemporary music is an important part of the choir’s repertoire with new music featuring on a weekly basis.
As part of the strong educational mission, we champion opportunities for children to sing with cathedral choristers. The Choir shares the joy of singing and the sense of wellbeing music brings with our congregations, concert audiences and with visitors from around the world.
