Christmas Events at Exeter Cathedral:
Christingle
Saturday 30 November 2024, 4pm
All are welcome to Exeter Cathedral’s Christingle Service where we look to Christmas and use the Christingle to tell the story of Jesus. This service will last around 30 minutes and is particularly suitable for young children and their carers. Popular hymns will be sung and the choir will include children who are partaking in the Cathedral’s Be a Chorister for a Day.
Advent Procession
Sunday 1 December 2024, 6pm
Join us for the start of the Advent Season, as we look for the coming, the “adventus” of Jesus at Christmas. The choir will lead us in singing advent carols and anthems in this atmospheric service.
Handel’s Messiah with the Exeter Cathedral Choir

The Exeter Cathedral Choir will be teaming up with early-music specialists Devon Baroque for a seasonal performance of Handel’s Messiah.
The proceeds from this concert will support the work of the Exeter Cathedral Music Foundation Trust.

Library & Archives Christmas In Focus: Picturing the Nativity
Tuesday 10 December, 1-3pm
For centuries, artists and printmakers have imagined the nativity of Jesus, based on accounts in the Gospels of Matthew and Luke. Start your Christmas with some seasonal treasures from the Cathedral Library.
The Exeter Nativity

Enjoy an entertaining re-telling of the Nativity at Exeter Cathedral! Free to attend but we recommend booking in advance.
