Rob Rinder Event to Raise Funds for Exeter Cathedral

Rob Rinder is set to star at an exclusive fundraising event for Exeter Cathedral next month.
Appearing at the cathedral in conversation with the Dean of Exeter, Rinder will be taking questions from the audience and signing copies of his best-selling novels, The Trial and The Suspect.
It will be the celebrity’s second public appearance at Exeter Cathedral, following his talk at the cathedral’s Holocaust Memorial Day service in 2023.
The famous barrister, broadcaster and author has waived his fee for the event on 14 May, to raise funds for the cathedral’s programme of building conservation and visitor experience improvements. He explained:
“Having visited in 2023 to speak at Exeter Cathedral’s Holocaust Memorial Day service, I am delighted to accept the Dean’s invitation to return to Exeter next month. This stunningly beautiful and ancient building is something we should all support. It plays such an important role for the wellbeing of local communities – a unique space for reflection, inspiration and wonder for people of all beliefs and backgrounds. I’m really looking forward to my conversation with the Dean and with our audience!”
A barrister in criminal law, Rinder was called to the bar in 2001 before launching a prolific career in television, which has included ITV’s courtroom reality series Judge Rinder and breakfast show Good Morning Britain, and the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, Who Do You Think You Are?, My Family, the Holocaust and Me, and Rob and Rylan’s Grand Tour series. He has also written two Sunday Times number one best-selling novels, The Trial and The Suspect.
The Dean of Exeter, The Very Reverend Jonathan Greener, said he was looking forward to the event:
“We are thrilled that Rob Rinder is returning to Exeter, and incredibly grateful that he has given his valuable time so generously in support of our cathedral.
I cannot wait to host this conversation with him on 14 May. Rob has led a truly fascinating life, is such an engaging and passionate speaker, and has so much to talk about – from law and faith, to writing, music, TV and theatre. This is guaranteed to be a highly entertaining evening, not to be missed.”
An Evening with Rob Rinder, is at Exeter Cathedral on Wednesday 14 May, starting at 7pm.
