Mozart Great Mass in C minor; Violin Concerto No. 1 in B flat major
Making a welcome return to Exeter Cathedral will be the renowned London Mozart Players.
Among the outstanding soloists are three with local connections: rising star violinist Joel Munday, who grew up in Devon, will play Mozart’s rarely performed 1st Violin Concerto; Soprano Daisy Walford was a chorister at Exeter Cathedral; and bass Tim Mirfin lives in Devon.
The climax of the evening will be the glorious Great Mass in C minor, described by director of music Howard Ionascu as “a cornerstone of the choral repertoire that contains some of Mozart’s most imaginative writing”.
