Decorate your own shrinkie plastic keyring
Monday 26 May 10am-12pm
Join us for some exciting science as you decorate your own fish themed art and then watch it shrink in our special oven, creating a miniature keyring for you to take home.
Japanese Fish Kites
Tuesday 27 May 10am-12pm
In Japan children celebrate festivals with koinobori (carp kites). The kites are a wellwish to offer all children the prosperity of the golden carp. For as much as 500 years, golden carp have been said to swim upstream, fighting the river’s current to reach the very edge of a fabled waterfall – The Dragon Gate. Drop in to Exeter Cathedral between 10am and 12pm to make your very own fish kite.
Mini-Boat making
Thursday 29 May 10am-12pm
Can you spot the boats we have on the Martyrs Pulpit? Take a look and then make your own boat to sail at home!
We also have several Explorer Backpacks for young people to use whilst they look around the Cathedral. Each backpack has a selection of books, toys, and colouring pages. Find a quiet corner to see what is in your chosen backpack and learn a little more about this beautiful Cathedral. Or you can follow the Exeter Cathedral Cat’s Trail, looking for the answers to Cathedral Cat Audrey’s questions!
All activities are FREE to children who are visiting Exeter Cathedral with a full paying adult.
