Book a brighter start to the New Year.
Take a journey through Time, at Exeter Cathedral.

Take a journey through time with this stunning new immersive sound and light experience at Exeter Cathedral, by artistic collaboration Luxmuralis.

Featuring dazzling light, dynamic soundscapes, and multiple projection installations, Time will take visitors on an unforgettable journey through history, science, and imagination, transforming the magnificent architecture of Exeter Cathedral.

Following its launch at Salisbury Cathedral in November, Exeter Cathedral will be the first tour venue to host this spectacular son-et-lumiere installation.

Visitors will be guided through a series of captivating installations that portray humans as seen through different eras, exploring the fascinating theories of relativity, and the text of H.G. Wells’ The Time Machine. In this immersive experience, you will traverse wormholes, venture inside the intricate workings of clocks, and experience a dramatic narrative that spans from the present day back to the very beginning of everything.

Time is created by Luxmuralis, an artistic collaboration between sculptor Peter Walker and composer David Harper. Leading creators of immersive fine art, their light and sound installations have transformed the interiors of sacred buildings, heritage sites and public spaces around the world. Luxmuralis sound and light shows aim to take art onto the streets and provide access to visual artwork in public and unexpected places.
