Children and young people are warmly welcome at all our services, but we provide especially for their needs at the 10.00 Choral Eucharist on Sundays.
Families worship together for the first part of the service. Children leave for organised activities in the Chapter House, returning to join the congregation for communion:
- Parents of babies and children up to 4 years may leave their children in the care of our crèche staff, or may stay with their children if they wish.
- Children aged 4 to 12+ years are welcome to attend Cloister Club, where we work on a variety of activities connected with the Bible and general Christian themes.
Newcomers and visitors are encouraged to take their seats near the front right-hand side of the Cathedral where other families can welcome you.
Children of secondary school age often remain in the service (with opportunities to participate as servers).
All adult helpers are recruited in accordance with the Cathedral’s Safeguarding Policy.
